Great is Thy Faithfulness
I absolutely love this hymn, by Chris Rice. There are times when I get frustrated or angry. Or times when I feel hopeless and floundering, then the Lord brings this song to my mind. I close my eyes and allow the words to fill my spirit. When I open my eyes I laugh at myself. How silly and foolish I feel. Was that petty little thing worth getting upset over? I picture God shaking his head and saying something like There she goes again. Isn’t it wonderful that HE IS quick to forgive! Quick to lift us when we falter!

Every day we are given the opportunity to praise Jesus His love never runs out or fades. We are blessed in knowing He never tires. His Mercies are fresh and new. Reading the lyrics to this song can you feel the power of that flows through them. There are times when people say their day is same old, same old. That is not so with the Lord. Each morning we are renewed. He gives us the mercies and the grace to succeed in the mission He has given us to fulfill.
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

I am nothing. I am just a speck of dust in this vast universe but Jesus came to earth to save me from my sin. I’m not worthy of this forgiveness. Yet in His Love he provides and cares for me. God looks on me as HIS Child, a joint heir to the throne. Not by anything I have said or done but by the precious blood of Jesus.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

How humbling and amazing that God who hates sin will forgive us and grant us a peace that can endure. We can have this peace because Our sins have been washed by the blood of the Lamb. They are to be remembered NO MORE. To have been redeemed you can rest assured that we are at peace with God.
