1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your anxieties on him; because he cares for you.
Do you ever get tired? Frustrated? Scared? Anxious? Of course you do. We all do and wouldn’t it be great if we could look into the future? Gotcha! I don’t think that would be a good thing at all. Jesus wants us to trust in him with the faith of a child. Our children know we would never allow harm to come to them. If we protect our children why would God not be there for us?
I hear people say that would never happen if there really was a God. First let me tell you that God is the only reality I can be sure of. How could we enjoy the mountaintop if we have never been in a valley? Or a rainbow without the rain. God allows things to happen to bring us closer to Him or He is teaching us something we need to know.
Countless times I wonder, “God I sure don’t see what your plan is here”? We don’t have to see the plan to know God is working good out for us. Do you realize God has already stood where you are standing? He has already etched out a path for you to walk. Can you imagine what our paths would look like if God hadn’t moved things out of our path? The enemy is always setting traps and temptations in our way to make us stumble and fall. But God in His wisdom and Love as removed most of them. Now don’t expect Him to remove them all or we would get complacent.
1 Corinthians 15:58. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, knowing that in the LORD your labor is not in vain.
I said all that to say this, we need to be there for each other. Lifting each other up. Be an encouragement to each other. I learned a little phrase a long time ago Only one life will soon be passed, Only what’s done for Christ will last! Nothing we do for Christ is in vain.
I have to remind myself of this often. I’m going through something myself and I get frustrated and really feel trapped. BUT my motto has become 100% for Christ. Do I enjoy what’s happening? NOPE. But I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that God has a purpose for it. My friends continue to pray and encourage me through it. I draw my strength know I’m not alone.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
These are two of my favorite scriptures. There is such rejuvenating power and uplifting feeling I get when I read these verses.
I hope that what you have read may encourage you or help you to encourage someone else.
God Bless You
