For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8 KJV
In this time of uncertainty fear seems to over shadow us. One fear I’d like to talk about is the fear of dying. As for myself I’m more concerned with HOW I will die but not the actual event. I heard a story a while back that pretty much sums it up for me.
An elderly man was dying in his hospital bed. One would think he would be sad or depressed but instead he was exuberant and excited. Some thought he had lost his mind. A nurse approached him and asked, “Sir I have to ask why are you so excited about dying?” He smiled and said” Let me tell you, As a younger man I had a dog. When I would come home from work that dog would get so excited and try to get through the door, because he knew his master had returned and was just on the other side of the door, You see death is the door, I am the dog, and my MASTER is just on the other side, I am going to HIM, Now do you understand? ”
“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Roamans 10:9-10 KJV
Do you know the MASTER? Are you prepared to go through the door?
It is easy as ABC
A-ADMIT YOU ARE A SINNER
B-BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD AND HE DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS AND ROSE ON THE THIRD DAY
C-CONFESS THAT JESUS IS THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE
GOD BLESS YOU,
AGLOW
Loved the story! I cannot wait for that “door” to open! To stand before Jesus, for a split second before falling to my knees. Not sure who will be more excited. Me for having made it, or Jesus , knowing one more of his sheep have come home.
